Our friend Brock Wilbur decided earlier this year that he was going to follow in the footsteps of Louis CK, Aziz Ansari, Jim Gaffigan, Rob Delaney, and Tig Notaro – comedians who all self-released comedy specials through their own websites.

We were brought on to direct the special, and coordinated preparation with his producer and sound, set design, photography, and lighting crew.

We taped at Club Fais Do-Do in Los Angeles, then headed home to Minneapolis and cut the special together from seven separate cameras. The final package we created included the special, both in video and audio formats, along with an introductory sketch and nearly an hour of special features, including deleted bits, portions of sets from the opening acts, and other appearances by Brock around LA.

Brock went public with his special, 28 YEARS LATER, on October 31st, 2012.
